Dr. Alex Young

I grew up in London, KY– home of the World Chicken Festival! My husband Adam, my daughter Amelia, my son Jameson, and I moved to Northern Kentucky from Lexington in 2019; you can find us at the pool, on the golf course, at the soccer fields at the Boone County Arboretum, or at the Cincinnati Museum Center for fun. We also love going to the Cincinnati Zoo to check on “Fiona” the hippo and feed the giraffes. And of course we love cheering for the Bengals! Who Dey!

While new to the community, I am not new to dentistry. I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2009. I practiced general dentistry for two years with my father in his practice in London, KY. It was during that time that I realized my love for working with children. I was so grateful for the opportunity to complete my residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Kentucky in 2013 and treated children in Lexington, KY for 6 years.

From our fun-loving team to our sweet patients, there is never a dull moment at our Florence KY practice. We love being able to give our patients a comfortable and positive dental experience.

I grew up in Cincinnati and now live in Anderson Township with my husband and three children. We share our home with four beloved rescue cats: Marly, Relay, Gordon, and Sparrow.

I have been an avid runner since middle school and participate in several races each year, ranging from 5Ks to marathons. As a family, we love exploring local parks and visiting the Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, and the Children’s Museum at the Cincinnati Museum Center. We also enjoy attending sporting events, cheering for the Reds, Bengals, FC Cincinnati, UK basketball, and Ohio State football.

I attended dental school at the University of Kentucky, where I found my passion for pediatric dentistry. I completed my residency at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital. My practice philosophy centers on trust. Children need to be aware of what is going on around them and more importantly, what is going to happen to them. Explaining dentistry in a way they can understand, including what they will feel and the sights and sounds they will experience, is key to making any patient comfortable. Building trust at an early age sets a child up for a lifetime of positive dental experiences.

At our practice, we aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where trust and understanding are paramount. I look forward to meeting you and your family and providing exceptional dental care for your children.
